ReCiPeS CaKe
INGREDIENTS:
- 1-1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup water or milk
- 11.5 ounce package milk chocolate chips, divided
- 1 cup chopped nuts, lightly toasted
PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 9-inch square pan. With a wire whisk combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Set aside. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Stir in vanilla. Add flour mixture alternately with water or milk.2.CHOCOLATE MAYONNAISE CAKE
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 - 18 ounce chocolate cake mix
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup water or milk
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise*
PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.** Combine ingredients with a hand mixer on low. Continue beating on medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour batter into prepared pans.3.ACOTCH CHOCOLATE CAKE

- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 cup water

- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- ICING -
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 6 tablespoons milk
- ---
- less than 1 pound box powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chopped nuts, lightly toasted
- 1 cup flaked coconut
PREPARATION:
For Cake -
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13 pan. Combine flour and sugar. Set aside. Put butter, oil, cocoa and water in pan. Bring to a rapid boil. Pour into flour and sugar mixture. Mix well. Add last set of ingredients. Mix well. Put into pan and bake for 30 minutes.For Icing -
Bring butter, cocoa and milk to a boil in same pan from above. Stir to prevent burning. Remove from heat and add rest of ingredients. Spread on hot cake.4.CHOCOLATE HAZELNUT TEA CAKE
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup butter, slightly softened
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup Dutch processed cocoa
- 1/3 cup finely chopped and lightly toasted hazelnuts
- Powdered sugar for rolling OR melted chocolate to drizzle over the top
PREPARATION:
Preheat the oven to 350. Have silpat or parchment covered sheet pans ready. Or you can also use ungreased sheet pans.In a mixing bowl, cream the butter until soft, add the powdered sugar and cream until smooth and light, about 1 minute.

INGREDIENTS:
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 cups fresh berries (any kind or combination just not frozen)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts, lightly toasted
PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour 13x9 baking pan. Combine cream cheese, butter and sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Stir in milk, eggs and vanilla. Add together pre-sifted flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and mix with cheese mixture until smooth.6.APPLE-GRANOLA COFFEE CAKE
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup milk
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1 egg
- 2 cups chopped pared apples (about 2 medium)
- ---Granola Streusel---
- 1 cup granola
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons cold butter
PREPARATION:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare Granola Streusel by using a pastry blender to combine the butter and flour until combined and looks like small peas. Stir in rest of streusel ingredients. Set aside. Beat first set of ingredients except apples in large bowl on low speed, scraping bowl frequently, 30 seconds.7.CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE
INGREDIENTS:
- 1-1/2 cups crushed (apprx. 18 cookies) chocolate sandwich cookies
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 24 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, melted, slightly cooled
- 3 eggs
PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. While processing cookies, drizzle butter to combine. Press firmly into bottom of pan. Bake 10 minutes. Beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time.8.FRUIT SURPRISE CHEESECAKE
INGREDIENTS:
- 1-1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs, apprx. 21 crackers
- 1-1/4 cup sugar, divided
- 6 tablespoons butter, melted
- 5 8-ounce packages cream cheese, softened
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon vanilla*
- 1 cup sour cream
- 4 eggs
- 1/3 cup seedless fruit jam or flavored curd
PREPARATION:
The day before or early in the day, preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. (25 degrees F less if using glass or dark metal pan). Lightly grease (spray and wipe out) 9x13 pan. In food processor, process graham crackers.9.LEMON CURD CUPCAKE
INGREDIENTS:
- Already prepared batter* for 2-layer yellow, white or lemon cake
- 1 cup lemon curd**, divided
- Enough Vanilla Frosting*** 2-layer cake
- Optional: Lemon Zest or Candied Lemon Peel
PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line muffin pan with 24 paper cups. Fill each cup 2/3 full of batter. Add 1/2-teaspoon lemon curd on top of batter. (Most of it will sink during baking.) Bake for 22 minutes or until done.In medium-sized bowl, stir in remaining lemon curd into vanilla frosting.
10.CHOCOLATE CUPCAKE CONE
INGREDIENTS:
- 2-layer chocolate* Cake Mix Batter, homemade or prepared as directed on cake mix box
- 16-ounce can chocolate* frosting, or 2 cups of homemade icing
- 24 ice cream cones, flat bottomed
- decors, sprinkles and other decorations as desired
PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Fill each ice cream cone 1/3 full with cake batter. Carefully place cones on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until done. Cool cones on wire rack. Spread each cupcake top with frosting and decorated as desired.*Or use any flavor or flavor combinations you desire.

Everyday Tips
Ingredients
- Measure ingredients carefully.
- Use the specified flour.
- Always use room-temperature, large eggs, unless recipes calls for other. (If in a hurry, the chill can be removed from eggs by dipping in a bowl of warm water.)
- Use the shortening called for in a recipe.
- Butter should be at room temperature.
Baking
- Most recipes require that the oven be preheated.
- Always use the size pans called for in a recipe.
...To calculate the width of the pan, measure across the top from inside edge to inside edge. - Shiny metal pans produce the best cakes.
- Dark non stick or glass pans readily absorb heat. Cakes baked in these pans might do better in an oven set for 25 degrees lower than recipe specifies.
- Unless otherwise specified, grease and flour pans.
- Generously grease the inside of pans, bottom and sides.
- Sprinkle with flour.
- Shake pan to evenly coat.
- Tap out any access flour.
- Bake on center rack. Don't allow pans to touch each other or wall of oven.
- Test for doneness 8 minutes prior to recipe directions for doneness.
- Use a toothpick to prick the center of the cake.
- If the toothpick comes out with just a few dry crumbs, the cake is done.
- If the toothpick is wet, continue to bake, checking at 2 minute intervals.
Cooling
- Cooling Layered Cakes: ...Cool for 10 minutes in pan on wire rack. Remove from pan and completely cool on wire rack.
- Cool tube pan and snack cakes completely in the pan on a wire rack.
- Let cakes completely cool before frosting, unless specified differently in recipe.
- Use serrated knife to trim cake layers, so cakes will sit evenly.
- Use a 1-inch wide, dry paint brush to brush-off any loose crumbs.
Freezing
- Unfrosted cakes can last up to 6 months if tightly wrapped.
- Frosted cakes should be placed, unwrapped on a foil lined cookie sheet. Freeze until hard and then tightly wrap cake.
- Unwrap and then defrost in the refrigerator.

1. Letak dan Luas |
Secara administrasi pemerintahan, Taman Nasional Bali Barat (TNBB) terletak dalam 2 kabupaten yaitu Kabupaten Buleleng dan Jembrana, Propinsi Bali. Secara geografis terletak antara 8o 05' 20" sampai dengan 8o 15' 25" LS dan 114o 25' 00" sampai dengan 114o 56' 30" BT. |

Taman Nasional Bali Barat terletak di ujung barat Pulau Bali lebih kurang 2 Kilometer dari Pelabuhan Penyebrangan Gili,manuk. Untuk sampai ke kawasan ini dapat dicapai dengan kendaraan darat. Dari Ibu Kota Propinsi Bali, Denpasar, dapat ditempuh selama ± 3 jam perjalanan darat. |
4. Keadaan Penduduk di Sekitar Kawasan |
Seperti penduduk lainnya yang berbatasan langsung dengan hutan yang merupakan kawasan konservasi, ketergantungan penduduk terhadap sumberdaya hutan juga masih cukup tinggi. Ketergantungan ini biasanya terhadap sumberdaya kayu bakar untuk keperluan rumah tangga maupun sumberdaya pakan ternak. Ketergantungan ini tentunya juga sedikit banyak akan mempengaruhi keutuhan dan kelestarian sumberdaya kawasan konservasi. Selain itu, sumberdaya hutan yang seringkali dijadikan komoditi dan diambil dari Taman Nasional oleh penduduk diantaranya satwa-satwa liar. |
5. Sarana Prasarana Pendukung Sekitar Kawasan |
Beberapa sarana dan prasarana untuk kepentingan wisata alam yang ada antara lain : beberapa obyek wisata yang berada di dalam kawasan Taman Nasional maupun di sekitar kawasan Taman Nasional. Untuk di dalam kawasan Taman Nasional, kebanyakan berupa wisata budaya yang berupa pura. Beberapa sarana yang dimiliki oleh Taman Nasional diantaranya Information Centre di Kantor Taman Nasional, shelter-shelter yang tersebar di dalam kawasan. |
